BIOGRAPHY

Stewart Collis is the senior program officer for Digital Agriculture Solutions at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He focuses on artificial intelligence, earth observation, digital farmer services, and digital infrastructure to support small-scale crop and livestock producers in low and middle-income countries.

Stewart has over 25 years of experience in agricultural information technology. Previously, he co-founded aWhere, delivering global ag-weather and analytics solutions, and also developed climate-driven crop modeling and agricultural data management tools at Texas A&M University and the International Center for Research in Agroforestry.
