BIOGRAPHY

Alok Talekar is a software engineer at Google DeepMind leading an effort focused on using remote sensing and machine learning to solve urgent problems faced by the agricultural sector in India and the global south. He was a founding member of the Climate Trace initiative, as a Google.org Fellow with WattTime. He has been with Google for over 9 years and worked in the tech industry for nearly 15 years.

He also co-leads a grassroots climate solutions group called Anthropocene with over 5000 members at Google, focused on collective pooling of 20% time at work to build climate solutions in a variety of sectors.
